OrcaFlex Presentation In Class

Thank you so much to Dr Yang who gave me this opportunity to present about OrcaFlex in the class. It means a lot to me. For me, this is not just a chance to practice my presentation skill but also a chance for me to contribute to the class. I am so happy that I could get involved in enrich this module (MAR3041 Offshore Engineering) content. And, from having idea, to request, to the presentation day, the whole process only a week time, it was very challenging in term of timing. 2015 really my year!

This is what I think Newcastle University good at. The staffs in Newcastle University really happy to see and help students to develop their own interests. I been studied in Newcastle University for 3 years and never had issues to stop my development, including I started this blog and YouTube channel a few weeks ago.

I think, you noticed my presentation slides' style was quite different from other engineer, that is because I am trying to find simplest way on presenting and this what I came out with.

With some luck, I found out this website while I surfing in the 'Slideshare'.

HaikuDeck claimed that presentation should be "Keep it simple, beautiful and fun!".

Well, HaikuDeck idea was good but it does not allow you fully control since it is just very simple app. So, I used the design in HaikuDeck, but I do it in PowerPoint.

It very simple to do.

1. Change the background to solid color.

2. Insert shape, select text box.

3. Change the text box outline and the fill color, or maybe you also want to change transparency.

4. Then you have a slide which look very likely to HaikuDeck.

5. The front I used is: Berlin Sans FB Demi.

Other cute front that I usually used is: Jokerman.

For the license code, I just answered a survey and got the sponsor. So you can do the same as well.

About removing the background, I just used the magic erase/ erase background function in Photoshop to do so.
